Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Install new appliances, HVAC components, refrigeration units, and kitchen equipment following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between sites as needed.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems involving air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical systems with precision.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and mechanical systems repair.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting and repair purposes.
- Hands-on experience with appliance installation, kitchen equipment maintenance, HVAC system repair (including air conditioning), and equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) practices within construction or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate construction tools and company vehicles safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities that support team collaboration while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
