Job Summary
The Treatment Director oversees the development, implementation, and management of treatment programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs. This leadership role requires a combination of clinical expertise, program management skills, and strong relationship-building abilities to ensure high-quality care and compliance with regulatory standards. The Treatment Director provides supervision to staff, manages program operations, and collaborates with community partners to promote positive outcomes for clients and their families.
Responsibilities
· Oversees the therapists and psychiatrist (maintaining a relationship with all of our therapist & service providers).
· Complete all Initial Service Plans and Service Plan Reviews. Complete the 14 day notification and send out the 10 day notifications after the plan to DFPS case worker & case worker supervisor, foster parent.
· Complete all Medication addendums. Notify DFPS of all medication changes.
· Provides consultation regarding admissions, subsequent placements, and discharges. Adding to the discharge summary as deemed necessary once the Case Manager generates it.
· Completes corrective action plans, follow ups, and reviews when necessary- as it relates to discipline and/or behaviors of the child.
· Reports immediately any suspected incident of abuse or neglect of a child in care to the CPMS and/or Executive Director
· Reviews and approves psychological assessments, psychological and/or developmental evaluations, and treatment plans
· Recommends/Refer treatment services and collects documentation from the service providers, upload, print file
· Reviews all CANS, Psychological Evaluations, Developmental Evaluations, ECI evaluations, and ensure all recommendations have been made and maintain and monitor all referrals.
· Meet with Case Managers bi-weekly host Treatment team meetings to discuss any behavioral concerns, suggestions, recommendations. This allows her to know the kids and get an idea of behaviors that are pressing in the home
· Visit the home & the kiddos, Quarterly, just to ensure that she is aware of who these kids are. She is only visiting to touch base on behaviors, medication, therapy, & psychiatric concerns and/or issues.
· Provides recommendations for crisis intervention decisions, such as Hospitalizations for behaviors.
· Conducts interventions such as individual, family and group therapy as needed
- Qualifications
- Proven management experience in behavioral health or social services settings.
- Strong background in program development and program management related to developmental disabilities or behavioral health.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and understanding of their unique needs.
- Excellent relationship management skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, staff, and community partners.
- · Psychiatrist or Psychologist;
· a Master’s degree in a human services related field from an accredited college or university and has three years experience providing treatment services for children with emotional disorder, including one year in a residential setting and at least one year experience working with children who have been removed from their homes;
OR
· a Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have three years experience providing treatment services for children with an emotional disorder including one year in a residential setting and at least one year working with children who have been removed from their homes;
· Be physically, mentally and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks
- Educational background in social work or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices, regulatory standards, and best practices in service delivery. Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
