The Foster Care Adoption Treatment Director provides key leadership and collaboration in the ongoing development, integration, and training oversight of the treatment program, including clinical responsibility for managing therapeutic interventions and providing direction and leadership of the treatment program. The Treatment Director leads a multidisciplinary treatment team to inform and provide oversight to the development of individualized treatment plans for each child in care, ensuring appropriate therapeutic, educational, and medical services. The Treatment Director develops well-informed advice and strategies that are sensitive to the various needs of multiple stakeholders and partners and reflects the strategic direction of the organization. The Treatment Director also provides direct supervision and leadership to clinical and program staff, ensuring quality service delivery and the safety and well-being of youth in care.
The Treatment Director is a member of the Arms Wide Consolidated Leadership Team and reports to the Director of Foster Care Adoption

Experience/Skills Required
- A psychiatrist or psychologist; or
- Have a master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and three years of experience providing treatment services for children with an emotional disorder, including one year in a residential childcare setting; or
- A licensed master social worker, a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed professional counselor, or a licensed marriage and family therapist, and have three years of experience providing treatment services for children with an emotional disorder, including one year in a residential childcare setting.
- Advanced understanding of multiple service systems and their interactions
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Must be well-versed in STAR Health services to ensure that youth maximize benefits based on eligibility and meeting medical necessity criteria for all services needed.
- Requires the ability to use the following equipment: computer, computer software, scanner, printer, telephone, copier, calculator, and postage machine. May use other equipment as required for the position.
Experience/Skills Preferred
- Five years prior leadership/supervisory responsibilities in related area of service
- Credentialed as a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner
Travel Required
- Reliable transportation required. Mileage reimbursed.
