Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of cardiac sonography experience and RDCS or equivalent certification for an outpatient imaging role in Holly Springs, NC.
Details
- Outpatient setting within an ambulatory/medical group clinic environment
- Primary work location in Holly Springs, NC with floating required to a Cary, NC location as needed
- Performs outpatient echocardiograms as the primary procedure
- Monday through Friday day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- No on-call, weekend, or holiday coverage required
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of cardiac sonography experience required
- Accredited Associate's Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field; OR completion of a 12-month ultrasound program
- Current BLS certification required
- One of the following certifications required: RDCS (ARDMS), or RCS, ACS, or RCCS (CCI)
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- License required if applicable
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs and documents equipment calibration, maintenance, and quality assurance monitoring, and reports any equipment issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Generates ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular structures and manages report storage and data entry systems
- Provides pre- and post-procedure patient assessment and care, including emergency cardiac care (CPR)
- Responsible for timely room preparation and turnover between procedures
- May assist with post-procedure patient transport
- May participate in staff training and education
- Background check and drug screen are required prior to start; candidates should be prepared for prompt drug screen completion upon commitment
