Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a weekend-only day shift contract in Poplar Bluff, MO, requiring ARDMS or ARRT certification and 1 year of experience in general ultrasound studies.
Details
- Hospital-based ultrasound department with 5 ultrasound units
- Serves both inpatient and outpatient populations under radiologist direction and departmental protocols
- Procedures include abdominal, pelvic (gynecological and obstetrical), transvaginal, small parts (thyroid, breast, and scrotal), vascular, cardiac, and OB sonography, as well as ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations
- Echo experience preferred; cardiac adult sonography experience preferred
- EMR: Cerner
- Weekend-only schedule: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- On-call required Saturday and Sunday nights
- Floating to an outpatient imaging center may be required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in ultrasound / sonography
- ARDMS (RDMS) or ARRT certification for ultrasound required
- Vascular registry (RVT) required
- Current BLS required
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited sonography or radiologic technology program
- State license as a general radiographer where applicable β license required if applicable
- Proficiency in abdominal, vascular, cardiac, and OB ultrasound procedures required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- A valid driver's license is required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the contract start date
Additional Information
- Responsible for providing timely diagnostic imaging services to inpatient and outpatient populations
- No designated scrub color
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered for this position
