American Traveler is hiring a Registered Ultrasound Technologist for a night shift sonography position requiring ARDMS certification and Epic EMR experience.
Details- Hospital-based Medical Imaging Ultrasound department
- Performs ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages across various imaging modalities
- Schedule is Monday–Friday nights, 10:30 PM–7:00 AM
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
- Epic EMR experience required
- Associate's Degree in Sonography or Radiology, or certificate of completion of a Radiologic Technology program
- Current BLS certification required
- One of the following ARDMS credentials required: RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB/GYN, RDMS-BR, RDMS-FE, RDMS-NE, or RDMS-PS
- Minimum 1 year of relevant sonography experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- License required if applicable
- Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal, vascular (arterial and venous color imaging), and other modality-specific studies, ensuring diagnostic quality images are submitted to radiologists
- Assists radiologists with invasive procedures including biopsies; sets up sterile trays and orders labs/pathology under radiologist direction
- Operates and troubleshoots ultrasound equipment; reports issues through appropriate channels and maintains a clean, stocked work area
- Accurately enters patient information into the HIS system and manages patient flow for efficient throughput
- Participates in QA/QC/QI programs and supports the training of fellow technologists and students
- Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
- RTO may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
