American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Transplant ICU night shift position requiring a DC RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
Details- Work in a Transplant ICU (S44) at an academic hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Active DC RN license required and must be in hand prior to start date; pending DC license may be accepted for later start dates
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Demonstrated experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multi-system organ failure, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, chronic/acute renal failure, IV therapy, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drains (EVD), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, respiratory/thoracic care, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy, and surgical wound/wound vac management
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
