Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with robotics, orthopedic, neuro, and trauma experience for a night shift OR position at a regional medical center in South Carolina.
Details
- Hospital operating room (OR) setting at a regional medical center in South Carolina
- Night shift schedule: 18:30–07:00, every weekend
- Call required as scheduled
- 13-week contract
- Specialties include robotics, orthopedic, neuro, and trauma cases
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience required
- NBSTSA certification required — this is the only surgical tech certification recognized in South Carolina
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Experience with robotic, orthopedic, neuro, and trauma surgical cases required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform scrub duties including preparing and maintaining the sterile field, instruments, and supplies for each surgical case
- Assist with patient transport, positioning, and transfer to and from the OR table
- Perform between-case room cleaning and terminal cleaning according to OR standards
- Maintain proper aseptic and sterile technique throughout all procedures
- Responsible for obtaining supplies, equipment, and medications in a timely manner
- Maintain stock of OR supplies, oxygen tanks, and CO₂ tanks as assigned
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism with patients, families, physicians, and staff at all times
- Weekend availability is required every week for this assignment
