Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with CVOR scrubbing experience for a hospital Operating Room position in Lafayette, CO.
Details
- Hospital Operating Room (OR) setting at an acute care facility
- CVOR cases are a key component of this role, requiring cardiovascular scrubbing experience
- 4x10-hour day shifts per week, 40 hours per week
- On-call requirements to be discussed during the interview
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Tech experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of CVOR scrubbing experience as a Surgical Tech required; cardiovascular experience should be clearly reflected on resume
- Completion of an accredited ORT program, OR graduation from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past 6 months, OR 2 years of scrub tech experience in hospital or military surgical services within the last 3 years
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- CO DORA license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start date
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs duties as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, reporting to Surgical Services management
- Prepares the OR and surgical instruments for each procedure and maintains accountability for sterilization criteria
- Maintains the sterile field, ensures environmental safety, and addresses sharps and fire safety processes
- Assists surgeon(s) during procedures within ORT scope of practice
- Identifies emergency situations and exercises judgment in implementing appropriate response procedures
- Assists with room turnover, cleaning, and preparation for the next procedure
- May assist with sterile processing as needed
- Cardio/CVOR experience must be clearly visible on your resume or profile
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
