Description
American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of OR scrubbing experience across multiple specialties for a 13-week travel assignment at a community hospital in Yakima, WA.
Details
- 226-bed non-profit community hospital with 7 ORs at the main facility and 3 ORs at an attached ASC
- OR unit serving both adult and pediatric patients across ENT, general, GI, GYN, orthopedic, robotic (Da Vinci), and urology case types
- Charting performed in Epic
- 12-hour day shifts (0645–1715) with an option for 10-hour shifts (0645–1915) and a rotating day off
- 36 hours per week
- Approximately 1 weekend rotation per month for day shift
- On-call required for day shift only: 4–5 shifts per month from end of shift to 0700 the following day; weekend call is 24 hours
- No floating required
- Navy scrubs are provided by the facility
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of surgical tech scrubbing experience
- Hands-on scrubbing experience in ENT, general, GI, GYN, orthopedic, robotic (Da Vinci), and urology cases required
- CST certification required (may be waived for candidates with 15 years of experience)
- BLS certification required
- Washington State license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- At least one supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start
Additional Information
- Scrub across a broad range of adult and pediatric surgical specialties, including robotic-assisted procedures using the Da Vinci system
- Candidates may submit with a pending WA state license, provided proof of application and application date are included
