Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a Level III Trauma, Magnet-status acute care hospital, requiring telemetry and cardiac experience on a night shift schedule.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 244 total staffed beds
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with 30 beds
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Patient ratio of 5:1
- Every other weekend requirement
- One holiday required per contract
- Floating may be required to other stepdown or medical units as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting performed in Cerner
Requirements
- Active Indiana (IN) or compact RN license required; pending license accepted if active by start date
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Cardiac medication administration experience required
- Infusion experience required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Level III Trauma facility
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
