Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, ACLS, and proficiency with complex surgical and trauma patients.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in a Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU)
- Patient population includes post-surgical and post-trauma patients, as well as those with burns, orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurosurgical, and oncological conditions
- Medical ICU patients may be placed in this unit when no other ICU beds are available
- CRRT, dialysis, and Open Heart recovery experience is highly desirable
- Charting is performed in MEDITECH
- 12-hour day shifts
- 17-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Strong surgical ICU background required; trauma experience preferred
- Experience with CRRT, dialysis, and Open Heart recovery is highly desirable
- A valid Driver's License is required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- RTO requests are honored only if submitted and confirmed at the start of the assignment
- Orientation is 16 hours
