Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation night shift position in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Inpatient Rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
- High neurological patient population, including stroke patients
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every third weekend required, specifically Friday and Saturday nights
- Sundays are considered part of the regular work week with some scheduling flexibility available
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Stroke certification is a plus but not required
Additional Information
- Unit functions similarly to a medical floor, with the exception that Heparin drips are not administered
- Responsibilities include assessing patients' physical, mental, and spiritual needs and developing individualized plans of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- RNs are expected to recognize and report changes in patient condition using clinical judgment
- Role includes patient and family education, accurate medical record documentation, and participation in continuing education
- Part of a nationally recognized non-profit health system with acclaim in stroke, cardiac, cancer, and rehabilitation services
