Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position requiring chemotherapy/oncology experience, APHON certification, and a minimum of 1.5 years of experience.
Details
- Work in a general pediatrics unit with hem/onc, ortho, and surgical patient populations
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required
- Floating required to PICU and NICU for appropriate assignments, with potential for additional float units based on skill set and hospital need
- Block scheduling and special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated unless approved at time of booking; RTO requests must be submitted in advance
- Charting system: Epic
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, and APHON
- NRP and OCN certifications preferred
- Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
- General pediatrics experience required
- Chemotherapy/oncology experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two current professional references required
- Copies of all certifications required

- Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
