Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU position requiring at least 1 year of experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and a NJ or compact RN license.
Details
- PACU unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes post-surgical cases spanning general surgery, orthopedics, ortho spine, and robotic procedures
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
- 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, plus call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NJ or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of PACU or post-surgical nursing experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 3 days auto-approved; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation
