Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring an active MI license and at least 2 years of OR experience.
Details
- Work within Surgical Services at a 202-bed regional hospital offering full-service surgical care across specialties including cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences
- Full spectrum of general elective and critical/life-saving surgical procedures
- 10-hour day shifts, 6:45am-5:15pm, with non-consecutive working days and a random weekday off
- One weeknight of call per week from 7pm-11pm
- One weekend on-call shift per month, rotating between Friday/Saturday/Sunday 7p-7a and Saturday/Sunday 7a-7p
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required at time of submission (compact license not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, or OB experience preferred
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
- Michigan license verification (LARA and Nursys) required
Additional Information
- Provide direct surgical nursing care across a wide range of specialties and procedure types
- Hospital-provided scrubs required for dress code
- Strict 3-strike attendance policy in effect; absences or tardiness of more than 20 minutes on 3 occasions may result in immediate termination, with exceptions reviewed for documented communicable illness or hospitalization
- Local candidates within a 35-mile radius will be considered local travelers
- Former full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
- No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
