Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in New Mexico, requiring at least 2 years of large OR experience and prior completion of a travel assignment.
Details
- Operating Room (OR) setting within a hospital environment
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
- Scrubbing required as part of OR duties
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
- Epic EMR used; on-site training available for those without prior Epic experience
Requirements
- Active NM or Compact RN license required
- BLS required; must be issued by the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
- ACLS and PALS required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a large OR setting
- Ability to scrub required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
- Must have completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Experience in ortho, EENT, and/or vascular surgery is a plus
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
- Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- May provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
- Former permanent staff of this health system must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
