Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of OR experience, including robotics, EGD, and colonoscopy, with a Monday–Friday day shift schedule and on-call responsibilities.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting, Operating Room (OR) unit
- Surgical specialties include general surgery, podiatry, cataracts, OB/GYN, pain management, and oculoplasty
- Standard shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (8-hour days)
- Approximately 6–8 call days per month; call periods run 24 hours (7am to 7am the following morning)
- One weekend per month on call; no weekends or holidays unless on call
- EMR: TruBridge (Evident) — experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WV or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Circulating experience required
- Robotics, EGD, and colonoscopy experience required
- BSN not required
- Valid, unexpired driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before applying; cumulative time worked within the WVU system cannot exceed one year before a 2-year break is required
- Two supervisor or peer references required — if the candidate worked a permanent position in the last 12 months, one reference must be from that permanent employer
- Skills checklist completed within the past year is required for consideration
