Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and proficiency across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, and robotic procedures.

- Hospital-based Operating Room setting
- Surgical specialties include orthopedics, cardiothoracic, ENT, GYN, plastics, vascular, ophthalmology, general surgery, trauma, urology, neurosurgery, and robotic procedures
- Night shifts scheduled as either 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) or 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Weekend call required as needed
- Approximately 3–4 on-call shifts per 4-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Any employment gaps exceeding 30 days must be listed and explained
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
- 13-week contract
