Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 3 years of OR experience with a strong focus on orthopedic and spine surgery, including weekend and call rotation.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting
- Specializes in knee and hip replacement, spine, hand, and foot surgery cases
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend and call rotation shared with staff
- Floating required within a system of 5 hospitals based on unit needs and within skillset
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience with major emphasis on orthopedic (knee and hip replacement) and spine, hand, and foot surgery
- Both circulating and scrub experience required
- COVID-19 vaccine required with no exemptions
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
- Two current professional references required for consideration
- Completed skills checklist specific to the OR required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrubs are provided by the hospital
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
- First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but qualify for a local pay rate
