Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and an active TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Operating Room (OR) unit in a hospital setting
- Schedule is 5x8s or 4x10s, 40 hours per week; day shift, 7:00–17:00 (schedule subject to change)
- On-call responsibilities required as part of a late call team; details to be discussed during interview
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state — no pending licensure
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required for candidates with prior travel experience; minimum 3 years required for candidates without travel experience
- ADN or higher required for this position
- BLS certification required (must be current or with a documented renewal plan if expiring during assignment)
- Driver's License required for consideration
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not eligible; at least one completed travel assignment is required
- Former permanent employees or internal associates must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 fall within the assignment, must be willing to work at least 1
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront, as it cannot be approved if not submitted at the time of consideration
- Vaccination status documentation required
