Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience and proficiency in advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures.
Details
- Work in the Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- On-call required every 3rd weekend and 1–2 nights per week
- Case types include CABG, aortic/mitral/tricuspid valve repairs, TAVR, aortic arch and root replacements with circulatory arrest, ECMO, Impella insertions, open thoracotomies, laparoscopic thoracoscopies, mediastinoscopies, and related chest procedures
- Scrubbing is not required for this role
Requirements
- Active RN license — Kentucky or Compact state license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
- Demonstrated competency in advanced cardiovascular and thoracic procedures including CABG, valve surgeries (aortic, mitral, tricuspid), TAVR, aortic arch/root replacements with circulatory arrest, ECMO, Impella insertions, thoracotomies, thoracoscopies, and mediastinoscopies
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide intraoperative nursing care for complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases
- 13-week contract assignment
