Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Fort Wayne, IN, requiring 2-4 years of cardiovascular OR experience and the ability to circulate complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases.
Details
- Open Heart Surgery unit with 4 OR suites
- Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Circulates complex cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, Ascending Aortic Aneurysms, Aortic Root Replacements, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repairs, Femoral-Popliteal Bypass, Carotid Endarterectomy, AV Fistula, Impella Placement, Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), ECMO, Thoracotomy, and Robotic Thoracotomy
- On-call required every 6th week
- No floating required
- EMR: Cerner (experience preferred)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IN state RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required (no certifications expiring within 30 days of start date)
- 2–4 years of recent CVOR experience required
- Proficiency circulating complex cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular cases required
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
- Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
