Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with 2.5 years of OR experience, strong cardiovascular and endovascular case experience, and the ability to both scrub and circulate.
Details
- Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) with floating to the Main OR for primarily Ortho and General cases
- CVOR cases include valve replacement, coronary artery bypass (CABG), TAVR, aortic dissection, and VATs
- Main OR cases include General and Ortho, standard cardiac (CABG, AVR, MVR), TAVR, TCAR, TEVAR, VATs, and VADs
- Endovascular and vascular cases include endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, and Fem-Pop bypass
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- On-call requirement: 24-hour on-call one weekend per month (Sat/Sun), plus two 8-hour on-call shifts per week on weekdays (3–11 PM or 11 PM–7 AM)
- Charting system: Epic and OR Manager (PICIS)
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2.5 years of OR experience required
- Must be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating
- Cardiac, lung, and/or kidney transplant experience highly preferred; some degree of transplant experience required
- Strong experience with endovascular and vascular procedures required (e.g., endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, TCAR, AV fistula, Fem-Pop bypass)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two current professional references required
- Copies of certifications required

- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and cannot be accommodated after booking unless approved at the time of scheduling
- Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
