Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position requiring 2-3 years of RN experience and NH or compact licensure.
Details
- Work in the Medical/Surgical unit of a hospital setting
- Care for patients with diagnoses including post-op general surgery (hernia repair, resections, cholecystectomy, some amputations), afib, CHF, COPD, withdrawal (CIWA), and rule-out sepsis
- 12-hour night shift schedule (7p-7a)
- Floating required, including to the Geri-Psych unit as Helping Hands support (no behavioral health experience needed)
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand
- 2-3 years of RN experience required
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, IV starts, and EKGs required
- Must be flexible and adaptable to unit needs
Additional Information
- Provide direct medical/surgical nursing care and perform related clinical procedures as needed
- Local candidates accepted with a reduced rate applied for those living within 50-100 miles of the facility
