Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 1 year of ER experience, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, with rotating day/night shifts in an acute care hospital setting.
Details
- Acute care hospital Emergency Department (11-room ED)
- Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Patient population includes all ages
- Nurse-to-patient ratio varies based on ED census
- Charting via Epic (ASAP Module); Omnicell medication system used
- No floating to other units required
- No on-call requirements; staff is never working alone
Requirements
- Active ND or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
- Cardiac knowledge preferred
- Completion of an accredited RN nursing education program required (BSN not required)
- Last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Flu shot required
- Epic EMR experience is beneficial; training provided on ASAP Module
Additional Information
- Coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages using the nursing process, including patient and family teaching
- Works cooperatively with ancillary and interdisciplinary team members to maintain professional nursing practice standards
- Black scrubs required
- Hospital and department orientation provided (8 hours)
- Online modules must be completed prior to start
