Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/PCU night shift position requiring VT or compact license and 5 years of experience.
Details
- Work in a 25-bed critical access hospital setting
- Combined PCU/Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule of 7p-7a
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Floating to other units required as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (VT or Compact) required upon acceptance
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required
- Critical access hospital, PCU, and Telemetry Med/Surg experience preferred
- Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
Additional Information
- Perform charge nurse duties as part of standard responsibilities
- Located in Newport, Vermont, a small town in the Northeast Kingdom near the Canadian border
- Area offers outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
- Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit
- Required to attend department quarterly education sessions
- Support provided throughout transition to the new community and role
