Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Acute care Med/Surg unit (2W) in a large hospital setting (250 beds)
- Level 1 trauma center
- General medical/surgical patient population
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
- 10-bed unit
- 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend required
- Every other holiday (EOH) coverage required
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- Equipment includes AccuDose, bladder scanner, Philips monitors, and telemetry
- May float to any Med/Surg unit on any campus in Fargo as needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active ND or compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
- Experience in a larger hospital (250 beds) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required (completed assignments; currently on a first travel assignment is not sufficient); travel experience within the last year preferred
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years
- All certifications must be active at time of consideration (no pending certifications)
- Active RN license required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Collaborates with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Practices within the full scope of nursing expertise using age- and population-specific standards
- Navy blue scrubs required
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Candidates residing between 61 and 80 miles of the facility may be considered at a local pay rate
- Candidates with previous employment at any Sanford Health location must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their application date
