Description
American Traveler is seeking a Consulting Services RN for a clinic-based position supporting multiple specialty departments, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of 2 years of RN and critical/cardiac care experience.
Details
- Clinic setting within a Consulting Services department
- Specialties covered may include Neuro, ENT, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Cardiac, and Urology
- Requires familiarity with cardiac monitoring systems, adenosine pump, and cardiac stress protocols
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM β 4:30 PM
- 13-week contract
- Cross-training to all consulting areas is required for coverage
Requirements
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Minimum 2 years of critical care or cardiac care experience
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate EMR systems
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently within a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Additional Information
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments, including pain assessment, and reassesses as needed in an age-, culture-, and psychosocially-appropriate manner
- Educates patients and families on treatment plans, follow-up instructions, and specialty procedures
- Prepares and administers medications in accordance with patient age and clinical condition per policy and nursing standards
- Identifies dysrhythmias, monitors hemodynamic status, and interprets results appropriately
- Maintains thorough and timely medical records documentation, including patient history, pain assessment, and current medications
- Communicates changes in patient status, symptomatology, and diagnostic results to consulting providers
- Participates in performance improvement activities
