Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position requiring a CA RN license, NIHSS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience, working nights on an EOW schedule.
Details
- Night shift position, 7p-7a (3x12-hour shifts)
- Works in a Medical/Surgical unit within a hospital setting
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating may be required to other units within scope of practice, including to alternate campuses
- Travelers can expect approximately 1.5 hours of advance notice when floating is requested
- A shuttle is provided when floating between campuses is required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- 2 supervisor references from within the past two years required for consideration
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for managing the full nursing care cycle from admission to discharge, ensuring safe, compassionate, and cost-effective care
- Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, and discharge planning factors
- Serves as a liaison between nursing and medical staff to facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care
- Initiates and directs emergency interventions and monitors patients at risk for untoward events
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved during the contract
