Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Hematology/Oncology/Med-Surg unit with chemotherapy administration experience and a day/night rotating schedule.
Details
- Specialty unit combining 24 beds of Hematology, Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, and Med/Surg with an additional 9 beds dedicated to Hematology and Cellular Therapy
- Most common diagnoses include lymphoma, leukemia, and ovarian cancers
- Patient population includes those receiving chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and radioisotopes
- Day/night rotating schedule, 36 hours per week
- Preferred experience with chest tubes and vasoactive/specialty drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone
- Preferred experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
- Preferred experience with trachs, laryngectomies, telemetry, and complex wound management
- Preferred experience with central line care, maintenance, and blood draws
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- 2 professional references from managers required for consideration

- Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, managing treatment side effects, and caring for patients undergoing radiation therapy and radioisotope treatments
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
