Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a hospital in Kerrville, TX, requiring 2 years of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Med/Surg unit located in a newer hospital facility
- Patient population includes medical/surgical and short stay cases
- Patient ratios are 1:5 on day shift and 1:6 on night shift
- Telemetry experience is preferred
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Med/Surg and short stay experience required
- 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
Additional Information
- Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
