Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position in Las Cruces, NM, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Meditech proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Tele Med/Surg unit of a Level IV trauma, Joint Commission Accredited hospital
- Patient population includes all age groups
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Charting via Meditech EMR — experience is required
- Night shift schedule: 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend requirement, with additional weekend hours as needed
- On-call required on an as-needed basis
- Floating to other Med/Surg units required as needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NM or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications (must be AHA): BLS, ACLS, HWC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- Meditech EMR experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Additional Information
- Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative inpatient and outpatient care across a spectrum of services
- Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
- All clinical staff on assignment in New Mexico must be fingerprinted prior to start; travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while results are pending but must be supervised during that time
- Any color scrubs are acceptable; no casual wear permitted
- Candidates who have worked permanently at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
