Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN - Circulator for a 13-week travel contract in Belfast, ME, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and a Maine or compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital OR environment with 3 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms
- Role is RN - Circulator
- Patient population includes Endoscopy, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, ENT, Urology, and Ophthalmology cases
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Equipment used includes Stryker, Storz, and Steris
- EMR is Epic
- Day shift schedule: 9-hour shifts, 4 days per week, Monday through Friday (approximately 6:45 AM - 4:15 PM)
- On-call required: rotating weekends (Friday 4:15 PM through Monday morning 6:45 AM) and rotating holiday call
- No floating within the unit
Requirements
- Active Maine (ME) or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of OR/circulator experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrub experience is preferred but not required
- Hospital-provided blue scrubs
- Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may be subject to a different bill rate
- Local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
- Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during the consideration process
- Travel pairs or groups are not permitted for this position
- Float between facilities within a 25-mile radius may be required as needed
