Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and an active MT or compact RN license.
Details
- Acute care orthopedics unit within a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
- Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
- On-call during regularly scheduled shifts may be required
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required; BSN preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Orthopedics nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required — must not expire prior to assignment start
- ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the unit
- English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) required
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; health teaching and counseling; executing delegated medical functions; and reviewing and monitoring therapy and treatment plans
- Documents nursing care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- BSN and specialty certification are preferred
- Candidates who have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Any approved time off requests must be disclosed prior to consideration
