Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Adult Medical Oncology position on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, requiring oncology background and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Work on an adult Medical Oncology Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) unit in a large hospital setting
- Patient population includes adult oncology, bone marrow transplant (BMT), CAR-T therapy, hematologic and solid tumor malignancies, and acute care telemetry patients
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Alaris pumps used on the unit (experience preferred)
- Epic EMR used (experience preferred)
- Chemotherapy is administered on the unit; travel nurses are not required to administer chemo
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience required
- Oncology nursing background required
- Telemetry experience required
- 1–2 prior travel assignments required
- Experience at a 500 bed facility required
- Chemo certification preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- 13-week contract
