Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and an active LA or compact RN license.
Details
- Oncology unit in a hospital setting serving adult and geriatric patients
- Average daily census of 14 patients across 16 rooms with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
- Every other weekend required
- Agency staff are floated first, with floating to similar or lower acuity floors
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active LA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred (AHA-issued where applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they have at least 2 years of acute care experience
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside 65 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
- Upon accepting an assignment, travelers may be assigned to an emergency response team and expected to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team during emergency events
