Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week LTC/SNF travel assignment requiring a BSN and at least 2 years of experience, working night shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage.
Details
- Long-term care and skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting with 66 beds
- Patient population includes common diagnoses such as CHF, dementia, DM, CKD, COPD, dysphagia (PEG tube management), urinary retention (Foley catheters), and wound care
- Patient ratio is approximately 22–25:1 (currently experiencing low census)
- Charting via Point of Care (PCC); experience required
- Night shifts, 12 hours in length
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No on-call or call-back responsibilities
Requirements
- Active ND or Compact RN license, in hand at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; no exceptions
- Current BLS certification required (active copies required; pending certifications not accepted)
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Orientation consists of shadowing another nurse for one shift
- Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and will be offered an adjusted pay rate
