Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility position in Indianola, Iowa, requiring a BSN and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Long-term care/skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting with 115 beds
- Patient population includes residents with hypertension, diabetes, and those requiring assistance with ADLs and transfers
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:40 with medication aides available for pill administration
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation on an every-other, annually rotating basis
- No on-call or call-back responsibilities
- Charting system: PointClickCare (PCC)
Requirements
- Active IA RN license or Compact RN license required (must be active, no pending licenses accepted)
- BSN required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required — no exceptions
- Current BLS certification required (copies of active certifications required; pending certifications not accepted)
- PointClickCare (PCC) experience preferred
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Valid driver's license required
Additional Information
- Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are eligible to apply and may be considered at a local pay rate
- Orientation length is determined on an individual basis
- 13-week assignment
