Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, requiring a minimum of 2 years of LTC experience and prior travel nursing experience.

- Position is located within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility
- Unit specializes in long-term care with dementia patients present across all units
- 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other units is required
- 6-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license in Vermont (VT) or a compact license accepted; NY license with proof of pending also accepted
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of 2 years of LTC experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Comfort working with dementia patient populations required
- Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required, with at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Background check within 18 months of start date required (7-year nationwide, county court, FACIS 3, and sex offender search)
- FACIS 3 and VCIC checks required within 30 days of start
Additional Information
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- Must work 2 out of 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
- All pre-planned time off must be communicated upfront, as time-off requests will not be honored once the assignment begins
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those between 51β100 miles qualify for a travel rate
- Distance to facility is measured by straight line, not driving distance
- All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, and facility type is required
