Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position in Urbana, IL, requiring Trauma Level 1 experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3 days per week (12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week)
- Floats to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU
- No on-call requirements
- Required to work every other weekend
- Every other holiday required
- Epic EMR — experience required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
- Prior experience at a Trauma Level 1 facility required
- Epic charting experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Floats to similar inpatient units as needed
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, plan of care development, nursing interventions, and ongoing evaluation
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care
- May be asked to complete Unit Nurse Leader training and precept staff from various units
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 continuous year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
