Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP & Level 1 Nursery position in Salida, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and a Colorado RN license.
Details
- LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) and Level 1 Nursery unit setting
- Cares for labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonate patients
- Night shift: 1800–0600
- 24 hours per week
- Weekends and holidays required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO RN license (CO state or Compact) required
- Current BLS and NRP required
- ACLS required
- PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
- Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Specific vision abilities required, including close, color, and peripheral vision
Additional Information
- Monitors and supports patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum phases, including breastfeeding education and infant care teaching
- Collaborates with nursery nurse in the care of the mother/baby couplet and assists physicians with procedures
- Communicates patient condition verbally and in writing to physicians and nursing supervisors
- Documents all patient events and education in the medical record
- May assist staff with emergencies in other nursing units as needed
- Located in scenic Salida, CO — a sought-after destination in the Rocky Mountains
