Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Pain Management position in California, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a procedural setting.
Details
- Procedural unit setting with 10-bed pre/post area and 2 procedure rooms focused on interventional pain management
- Adult patient population (18 years and older) undergoing interventional pain management procedures
- Average daily census of 40 patients with approximately 45 procedures per day
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM; hours may flex based on surgeon and case load
- Floating may be required between two locations (Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs) based on skill level
- No weekends, no on-call, and no holiday requirements
- Charting performed in Epic (proficiency required)
- Approximately 2/3 of cases are local anesthesia; the remainder involve general anesthesia
Requirements
- Active California RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR required
- Experience in pain management, PACU, and/or OR settings strongly preferred
- Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

- This is a high-volume procedural environment — candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced, procedure-driven setting rather than a traditional outpatient clinic
- Plain black scrubs with no emblems or logos are required; scrubs are not provided by the facility
