Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU Float position in Liberty, MO, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and active MO or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Hospital ICU setting with float responsibilities to the Stepdown/PCU unit
- Cares for a patient population that may include CTS and Neuro patients
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Holiday coverage required for one major and one minor holiday
- Subject to shift push-back and cancellation based on census and staffing levels
- EMR is Altera Sunrise (formerly Allscripts), noted to be very similar to Cerner — prior experience not required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; TNCC preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
- ICU experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center preferred
- Experience with CTS and Neuro patients preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration

- This is a nicotine-free facility
- Orientation spans approximately 5 days: days 1–2 are system-wide orientation, day 3 covers facility and clinical orientation, day 4 is continued clinical orientation, and day 5 focuses on computer training before unit assignment
- Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
- New graduates will not be considered for this position
