Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring AHA certifications, night shift availability, and a willingness to float to PCU and MS units.
Details
- Located in a hospital ICU setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)
- 36-hour work commitment per schedule period
- 4 weekend shifts required per schedule period
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to PCU and occasionally to Med/Surg at ratios up to 1:7
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TN or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- Two supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
- Contract nurses are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their standard care responsibilities
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility
