Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department night shift position in Fort Smith, AR, requiring 2 years of ED experience and an active AR or compact RN license.

- Work setting is an acute care hospital Emergency Department
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12)
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- No float, call, or weekend requirements
- EMR: Epic
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
Requirements
- Active AR RN license or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, CPEN
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of recent experience in the ED specialty required
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
- No employment gaps of 90 days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning and evaluation, patient and family education, pain assessment and management, and participation in quality improvement and patient safety programs
- Black scrubs required
- Flu vaccination required; exemptions must be client-approved
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is already scheduled
- Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility; after that, a minimum 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
