Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 15-week travel assignment in Hawaii, requiring an active HI RN license and over 2 years of ER experience.
Details
- Hospital emergency department setting
- Variable shifts of 8 or 12 hours, scheduled 80 hours per 2-week period — shift assignment determined by manager upon arrival
- One on-call shift per scheduling roster
- At least one weekend off per scheduling roster
- Floating to other units may be required based on clinical abilities, as determined by nursing administration
- EMR: Meditech
- Equipment includes LifePak defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems
- Patient care involves Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations
Requirements
- Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment — candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
- Proficient IV skills required
- Familiarity with Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations
- Understanding of core measures and National Patient Safety Goals
- Familiarity with AIDET and Press Ganey patient experience standards
- NCI and Procedural Sedation experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Candidates must arrive at the facility the Friday prior to their Monday start date to complete employee health and HR clearance — no exceptions
- HI RN license must be in hand at the time of the employee health/HR appointment
- All compliance documents must be completed and uploaded no later than one week before the start date
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
