Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a float pool Emergency Department position in the Metro Illinois/Missouri area, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and active IL licensure.
Details
- Float pool position covering multiple metro area ED locations (Alton, Belleville, and East campuses)
- Emergency Department setting treating a broad patient population including chest pain, CVA, trauma, sepsis, GI bleeds, behavioral health, orthopedics, CHF, COPD, asthma, sickle cell, and more
- Conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring required
- Shift start times vary within the ED (e.g., 0600, 0645, or 0700) for 12-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be acceptable at time of consideration
- Active MO RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- TNCC preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required
- Conscious sedation and telemetry experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Orientation modules must be completed prior to or during the start of the assignment
