Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and on-call availability, including weekends.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab department of an acute care hospital setting
- Patient care involves diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, structural procedures, implants, hemodynamics, and conscious sedation
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call requirements include approximately 1 late shift per week, 1 call shift per week, and 1–2 call weekends per 6-week schedule, with a 30-minute call-back requirement
- Floating to the EP Lab is expected as needed, including taking late call when assigned to the EP Lab
Requirements
- Active KY state or compact RN license currently in hand — no licensure hits accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, structural procedures, implants, hemodynamics, and conscious sedation required
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a travel nurse
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of profile submission — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
