Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Catheterization Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.
Details
- Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) setting within a hospital environment
- Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday on a varied basis with approximately 2 Fridays per month
- One 24-hour weekend call shift required per month
- Three weeknight call shifts (7:30 PM–7:00 AM) required per month
- Holiday coverage required for one summer and one winter holiday
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
- May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
Requirements
- Active NJ RN license (or compact license) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across the pediatric to geriatric population
- Deliver direct patient care including pre- and post-procedure assessments and patient and family education
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation in accordance with nursing process guidelines and patient outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment, procedures, and National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- Two references are required for consideration
